About this painting: This painting is part of a small series inspired by a specific color. I found this absolutely gorgeous and delicate cup with a gold rim at a vintage market in Saint Petersburg. I later discovered it’s a popular set called ‘Cobalt Net.’ To add warmth and create a more dynamic composition, I placed deep red apples, which also enhanced the rich coloring of the black tea.
